Meet Dave

Born into a big Italian family, David grew up in a household where food wasn’t just a meal — it was a celebration of love and togetherness. Inspired by his roots and driven by a lifelong passion for cooking, he pursued a career in the culinary arts.

From day one, Macera’s Italian Family Restaurant was built on the values of family. That same spirit is infused in every dish that comes out of the kitchen and in the way the restaurant is run — with warmth, care, and a deep commitment to making every guest feel at home.

With a reputation for meticulous attention to detail, David assembled a team of chefs who shared his passion for creating the finest quality food while delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Megan, David’s daughter, has been by her father's side since she could pick up a soup ladle.

Today, she continues to build upon the rich heritage and outstanding reputation of Macera’s Family Restaurant, guided by the same principals embedded by her father.

Together, they have become recognized as one of Rhode Island’s landmark family restaurants.
